Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Lovable can turn a prompt into a working screen in minutes. **We use them every day too.** So the question is fair: if the code is cheap, what are you paying a team for? ## The code was never the hard part A first version fails for reasons that have little to do with typing speed. It tries to do five things instead of one. It is built in a way that has to be thrown away once real users arrive. Or it never gets in front of users at all, because there is always one more feature to add first. An AI tool will happily build all five things. It will not ask whether you need them. ## What a week with us is really for The week starts with a call, not with code. Together we find the one flow that proves or disproves your idea, and we write down everything else we are leaving out, and why. That list is often worth more than the code, because every item on it is money you did not spend yet. Then we build that one flow properly: - Live and usable by real people at the end of day 7, not a clickable mockup. - A structure meant to carry the next version, so a good result does not mean starting over. - Hosting, payments and security handled, instead of left for later. - The code, the accounts and a walkthrough handed over to you. ## When to do it yourself If you already know exactly what to build, enjoy the work and have the time, an AI tool and a few weekends may be all you need. Many good products started that way. If you would rather spend one week and $999 to find out whether the idea holds up, with people who have built and founded startups before, talk to us.
